Hariwake is a two colored Koi where one of the colours is platinum/metallic white, and the other metallic color is either yellow/orange/red. Hariwake are available in both scaled and scaleless (doitsu) varieties. A good Hariwake Koi will have platinum white skin with strong, defined patches of color.  

A Lemon Hariwake is a Koi with a platinum base coloration and a metallic lemon-yellow pattern.The easiest way to spot metallic skin in Koi, is when the pectoral fins are not transparent at the tips. This Koi has some scales of a darker shade making it more visually striking- beautiful!
