Virkon® Aquatic is for use in aquaculture operations. It is independently proven to be effective against aquatic pathogens. Virkon® AQUATIC is dye and fragrance free so diluted in-use solutions are colorless and fragrance free ideal for aquatic applications & uses.
How long does Virkon® Aquatic solution remain active? – Virkon® Aquatic solutions are colorless, odorless. The Virkon® Aquatic label states that solutions are stable for 7 days. Solutions should be replaced daily or more frequently if visibly soiled. One gallon of solution will treat approximately 135 square feet.
What is the difference between Virkon® Aquatic and Virkon-S? Virkon® AQUATIC is specifically designed for use in the aquaculture industry, while Virkon® S is designed for use in large animal production and agriculture. Virkon® AQUATIC does not contain dye or fragrance as found in Virkon® S. The dye and fragrance have been removed to make the product more suitable for use in aquatic applications. Additionally, the Virkon® AQUATIC label carries organisms and application guidelines associated and approved for use in the aquaculture industry.
Directions: To achieve the appropriate use-diluted Virkon® AQUATIC concentration, fill container with the volume of water and quantity of product indicated. For a 1% solution, add 1.3 oz. of powder to one gallon of water. Stir thoroughly until fully dissolved, then use. Allow 10 minutes for complete dissolution, stirring occasionally as needed. Solutions are stable for 7 days. Solutions should be replaced daily or more frequently if visibly soiled. One gallon of solution will treat approximately 135 square feet.
